Henry Pumps is a Pump Retail Specialist based in Chesterfield and who supply nationally & also have an in house repair facility.

They are seeking an Experienced, Passionate and Results-Oriented Technical Sales Engineer who has a sound understanding of water pumping systems, and someone who wants to progress their career.

This is an important role, and you will be part of a Growing, Successful Team who are focused on Getting the Business to the Next Level.

 

Salary & Hours - Full Time.  £45K - £55K per annum 

Mon – Thu 8.00-5.00 & Fri 8.00 – 4.00.

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Respond to inbound enquiries, convert them into technical specs, and prepare detailed quotations.
  2. Offer top-notch telephone support on mechanical and electrical pump systems.
  3. Manage sales processes from start to finish.
  4. Raise purchase orders and invoices to streamline operations.
  5. Explore new opportunities for growth, cold call prospective clients, potential to attend face-to-face meetings to promote our solutions.

Results expected

  1. All potential customer details captured during first call, incl. personnel and contact info.
  2. Technical sales quotation prepared and sent in a timely manner. 
  3. Increase sales turnover figure from inbound and outbound calls.

  1. Air Conditioning and ventilation design and selection skills
  2. The ability to work with clients from a variety of industries 
  3. Punctual & Reliable
  4. Good organisational skills

Experience Needed

  1. Strong technical background in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (bonus: experience in the pump industry).
  2. Familiarity with electric submersible, surface-mounted, hydraulic, engine-driven, borehole, and booster sets pumps (or other similar industries, motors, HVAC, refrigeration etc)
  3.  Experience with control panels.
  4. Basic understanding of electrical systems or pump/pipework installations.

 

Other/Special Requirements

  1. Adaptable.  Still a small growing company, you may be occasionally required to help in other area of the business.  For example, picking a product that you may have technically specified to ensure it is correct etc.
