Our Clients are an established International, yet Locally Owned, Shipping Agency based in Goole with associated businesses across the logistics & manufacturing Industries. 

They are seeking an experienced, passionate and service-oriented,  Shipping Logistics Assistant to support the Shipping Manager to grow the business in line with targets.

This is a new role for the business, so you will be an important part of a growing successful team who are focused on growing the business to the next level, and will mean the opportunity for Business Career Growth for you within the company.

Key Requirements of the role

Responsibilities

1. Proactively manage & deliver new and existing jobs.
2. Book all Transport & Logistics with suppliers
3. Engage with customers from quotation stage to complete job & create customer opportunities
4. Work as a team member
5. Cover colleagues when required.

Expected Results

1. Generate new leads in line with the business plan
2. Achieve job delivery on time 95% +
3. Future opportunity to take on Management Role
4. Develop and maintain existing freight forwarding business. 
5. Engage well with customers at events

Qualifications

1. 2 years + experience of working in a Shipping Freight Forwarding business
2. Regular telephone user & online meeting software.
3. Use of zoom or other online meeting software

● Salary & benefits package

£30 to £40K PA dependent on background knowledge & experience, 

This is a Full Time Commitment Position
