York House Designs is a Market-Leading Residential & Commercial, Interior Design & Management Studio, based in St.Margarets, West London.  Due to continued growth, the business is seeking a Studio-Based Design Assistant to join their vibrant studio environment, and it's friendly, collaborative, and expanding team.

This role offers the opportunity to become a key contributor within an established business, playing an important part in its ongoing growth and success.

 

Salary and Hours

  • £12,500 - £18,000 PA, depending on hours and experience
  • Part-time (ideal candidate would have scope to increase)
  • 15 - 20 hours Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. To support Lead Designer and Procurement and Project Manager
  2. Sample library organisation
  3. Product library organisation
  4. Social Media and marketing content creation and scheduling
  5. Supplier liaisons 
  6. Following up on purchase orders
  7. Following up on client invoices
  8. Organising client meetings and diary management 
  9. Project and product research 
  10. Some Sketchup and Layout design work
  11. Moodboards 
  12. Responding to leads and enquiries
  13. Generating new contacts leads and enquiries
  14. Communicating with clients suppliers and trades at all stages
  15. Organising portfolio photo shoots and assist with styling
  16. Updating and managing Houzz Profile and other online platforms
  17. To share responsibility of Studio cleanliness and upkeep

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  1. Competent use of Sketchup
  2. Interest and some level of understanding of using AI to improve workflows and output within interiors
  3. Ability to quickly and confidently pick up new softwares
  4. Excellent communication, both verbal and written. Confident speaking over the phone and able to build rapport with different people. Excellent use of the English language 
  5. Ability to nurture relationships and be intuitive to clients and colleague's needs 
  6. Understanding of social media and marketing

Experience Needed

  1. Minimum three years' working experience in any industry
  2. Minimum one year working within design / building / bathrooms / kitchen industry
  3. Experience of social media management 
  4. To have completed a SketchUp course - can be online or as part of a more formal education
